Missing 12-year-old boy found safe

Police looking for missing 12-year-old
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho. -

The Coeur d’Alene Police Department has located missing 12-year-old Chance Joshua Belnap.

He was found safe around 11:00 Saturday morning in a grassy area near Seltice and McGuire Road in Post Falls.

A woman found him sitting in a field by himself. Police believe Chance voluntarily walked away from home, but police are still investigating.

Chance went missing yesterday morning at 7:00 a.m. as he left on foot for Woodland Middle School. His mother said she found out later that afternoon that Chance never arrived at school.
