Coeur d'Alene police detectives are investigating the death of a 4-month-old baby.

According to police, the boy died at his home in the 1900 block of Appleway Avenue.

The baby was found unconscious by his father around 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.

When emergency crews arrived, they tried to revive the baby, but he was unresponsive.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday to determine exactly how the baby died.

His name won't be released until all of the family is notified.
