MOSCOW, Idaho -

A University of Idaho student, reported missing over the weekend, was found dead Monday afternoon.

Moscow Police said the body of 18-year-old Joseph Wiederrick was found by trackers of the Latah County Search and Rescue Team under the Paradise Creek Bridge in the 2800 Block of North Mountain View Road.

Police report Wiederrick left a party at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house on Saturday night, called his roommate as he was leaving to say he was walking home but he never showed up.

His remains were found under the bridge approximately five miles away from the university campus. Moscow Police say Wiederrick walked about five to seven miles in the cold by himself that night, even knocking on several stranger's homes.

Moscow Police believe Wiederrick had consumed some alcohol that night. KXLY reached out to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at University of Idaho but they  say they can't comment on the matter.

A cause of death has not been released but the Latah County Sheriff's Office and Moscow Police, which are jointly investigating the scene where his body was found, report they do not suspect foul play.
