GEAR UP FOR THE PARK'S MAY OPENING.

Hundreds of people came out to the Kootenai County
Fairgrounds for Silverwoods job fair.
Some are seasoned vets, and other are hoping to land
their first job.
It feels pretty good.
THAT'S BECAUSE 16-YEAR-OLD LOGAN CONDON JUST LANDED
HIS FIRST JOB AS A COOK FOR SILVERWOOD.
I came out for the job mostly so I could by a car.
CONDON IS JUST ONE IF 13-HUNDRED PEOPLE SILVERWOOD
IS HOPING TO ADD TO THEIR STAFF.
ABOUT 100 MORE THAN LAST YEAR.
We are adding more jobs mainly because we are going
to be doing some split scheduling which is adding
THE PARK IS ENCOURAGING ANYONE LOOKING FOR A PART
TIME JOB OR A SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME TO COME OUT AND
AVAILABLE JOBS AT THE PARK RANGE FROM ALL ACCROSS
THE BOARD INCLUDING...
We have Housekeeper, security officers, ride operators,
warehouse, life guards, game attendance.
Pretty much any job you can imagine we have it!
THE PARK IS LOOKING TO ADD TO THEIR FULL TIME STAFF...
BUT MAJORITY OF AVAILABLE JOBS ARE SEASONAL.
MAY TO OCTOBER.
OR FOR THOSE WHO ARE YOUNG AT HEART.
I'm semi-retired and I just take care of my grandchildren
so I just thought it would be fun to do for the summer.
Our youngest employee is 14 our oldest is 89.
IF YOU WEREN'T ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE JOB FAIR TODAY.
THERE'S STILL PLENTY TIME TO BE HIRED.
