FIRING SHOTS AT OFFICERS FROM HIS MOVING CAR.
THEY FINALLY SHOT HIM WHEN THEY SAY HE POINTED A GUN
DIRECTLY AT THEM ON THE CENTENNTIAL TRAIL.

POLICE SAY HE FIRED SEVERAL SHOTS OUT THE WINDOW.

HE WAS ONE OF FOUR OFFICERS WHO FIRED THEIR WEAPONS
THAT DAY, RIDDLING BUQUET'S CAR WITH BULLETS
HE DIED AT THE SCENE.
A GUN, FOUND LYING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR.

Prosecutor Barry McHugh cleared the officers of any
wrongdoing this week.
nearly 18 months after the shooting.
he says Buquet posed an immediate and continuing threat
- and, showed no signs of stopping his violent behavior.
he extends his condolences to Buquet's family and
friends - and, says he hopes his decision brings closure
to the officers involved.
