SPOKANE, Wash. - A new business, Fleet Feet Sports, opened its doors Thursday morning at 1303 North Washington.
The store specializes in running shoes and equipment, and the owners hope it will inspire people to be healthy and active runners.
Owners Wade and Julie Pannell opened the building Thursday, but they've already led a group of 50 non-runners through training to compete in a 5k.
The store likes to boast their extensive shoe fitting process as well. Employees will not only measure your foot but watch your walking and running style before recommending a shoe.
The store will add at least six more jobs to Spokane and add to the local economy.
"I think the economy is recovering, I think it's a going to be a great time to open a business in Spokane, at least when we're talking to people out on the street, they're excited about what we're doing," Wade Pannell said.
