Woodcraft offers unique opportunity to say thank you on Veterans Day

Woodcraft offers unique opportunity...

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - There are plenty of ways to say thank you on Veterans Day, but there's a special opportunity for you in Spokane Valley. "Turn for Troops" is an annual pen making campaign by Woodcraft stores all over the country. Our local store on North Sullivan is taking part and encouraging you and your family to make thoughtful, hand made gifts for our service men and women overseas.

Woodcraft provides all the supplies and safety equipment, all they want is your time and creativity.    Owner Nick Charles served in the U.S. Navy and knows how a small gift can make a big difference.
"It's a spark. It's a sign of appreciation and I think our service people do recognize that and they get a little boost out of it," said Charles.

Nation-wide, Woodcraft hopes to send around 18,000 hand made pens with personal notes to those deployed overseas. Anyone older than 12 can turn a pen and join the "Turn for Troops" effort Friday night until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Woodcraft is located at 212 N Sullivan Road in Spokane Valley.
