PULLMAN, Wash. - One of the University of Idaho's top football players is in jail Monday morning following an arrest for allegedly driving drunk.
Dezmon Epps, 21, was arrested by Pullman police early Sunday morning. Epps is a wide receiver for the Vandals.
The officer reportedly saw Epps traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. Police say he failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for misdemeanor DUI.
Epps refused to post the $500 bond and was booked into the Whitman County Jail. He will see a judge Monday.
Epps led the Vandals with nearly one thousand receiving yards last year.
Vandal head football coach Paul Petrino issued a statement yesterday expressing disappointment with Epps' arrest. Coach Petrino says the matter will be handled swiftly and decisively noting there will be discipline in his program.
