Local bars compete for Coats 4 Kids

SPOKANE, Wash. - If you're going out on the town this weekend, bring an extra coat along! You'll be helping local kids and your favorite bar at the same time.

Coats 4 Kids collection boxes are set up at Fast Eddies, Press, Gas Lamp, Boiler Room, Volstead Act, and Borracho.

The bars are competing to see who can collect the most coats, and the losing bar has to throw a party for the winning bar.

Anybody who is coming out, bring a coat with you throw it in the collection bin.

"If you plan on coming down to Borrocho, having a good time, joining us for some dinner some drinks, just normal weekend activities, bring something with you, throw it in the collection bin, and we'll make sure it gets to KXLY, just a fun little thing to do" said Curtis Olsen, catering manager for Borrocho.

The competition between the bars started at beginning of the week and runs through the weekend, while Coats 4 Kids is collecting donations through the end of October.
