Police catch Ugly Bettie's shooting suspect

SPOKANE, Wash. - Police catch Ugly Bettie's shooting suspect

Just after 11:30 p.m. Friday night, Spokane police responded to a call of shots fired at Ugly Bettie's bar at 211 North Division.

Officers got to the scene, determined no one had been hit by the shots, and were able to get a good suspect description from witnesses. The suspect had fled the scene.

Downtown Neighborhood Conditions Officers on bicycles located and stopped the suspect in the alley behind the 215 West Main.  A gun and two shell casings were located, and the scene was locked down and processed for evidence.

The suspect, 27-year-old Blane M. Peterson was arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He is a convicted felon and therefore unable to possess a firearm.
