Police arrest suspect in shooting outside CDA bar

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Coeur d'Alene Police have arrested a man suspected of firing a gun at the Corner Bar on Saturday night.

Officers responded to the scene at 1628 North 4th Street  just after 10 p.m. for reports of a disturbance.

An officer was told that a man had a gun and had fired it in the north parking lot of the bar. That officer chased after the suspect to the area of 5th and Spruce, where Coeur d'Alene K9 Officer A.J. Winstead and her partner Pecco were deployed to track the suspect. They were unable to locate him.

One man suffered a minor leg injury due to the discharge of the gun. He was not transported for medical treatment.

Just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, police arrested Erik Henninger, 32, of Coeur d'Alene for felony Aggravated Assault and felony Aggravated Battery.
