AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - State prison officials say Airway Heights Corrections Center is under a lockdown after inmates brawled.
Officials say the fight involving about 16 inmates occurred around 4 p.m. Sunday on the walkway between two living units.
One inmate was taken to the hospital and three staff members received minor injuries from separating combatants. But no staff members were assaulted during the fight.
Officials say the medium security facility will remain on lockdown while an investigation is carried out. The facility houses 1,570 inmates.
There was no word on what touched off the melee.
