Fairchild sets date for KC-135 crash public memorial

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. - Fairchild Air Force Base confirmed Thursday it will be holding a public memorial service later this month for the three airmen killed in a KC-135 tanker crash in Kyrgyzstan on May 3.

Capt. Mark Tyler Voss, Capt. Victoria Pinckney and Tech. Sgt. Herman "Tre" Mackey III were killed in that crash.

A public memorial will be held at the Inland Northwest Bank Performing Arts Center on May 28 at 1 p.m.

Fairchild said Thursday afternoon the trio of airmen killed in the crash "will be honored for making the ultimate sacrifice while deployed at the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan."
