SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane County deputies are searching for a naked man accused of knocking on a woman's window and assaulting another woman in the Spokane Valley early Wednesday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m., a woman called 911 to report that someone was knocking on a back window of her home on the 4800 block of East Gloria Lane.
"I was terrified, I was home alone with my two kids and it was just a feeling of helplessness," the woman, who asked she remain anonymous, said.
Spokane County sheriff's deputies responded to the scene, but couldn't find the culprit.
When the woman's husband came home from work around 3:45 a.m., he found a naked black man standing in their front yard. He called police, who were still in the area, but when they arrived to the house, he was gone.
Spokane County deputies were looking for the man when a different call came in from a woman claiming a naked man assaulted her.
According to Spokane County Sheriff's Deputy Craig Chamberlin, the victim was on a walk around 5:15 a.m. near 17th Avenue and South Carnahan Road when a man assaulted her, tried to take her watch, threw her on the ground and dragged her. Chamberlin said there was nothing sexual in nature about the attack.Carnahan Assault
The man then left the scene and the woman suffered minor injuries.
He was last seen near the 3800 block of East 13th Avenue at around 6 a.m. Spokane County deputies, a K-9 unit and Air One joined in the search to find him but the suspect has not been found.
The suspect is described as a naked, black and athletic-looking male with a tattoo on his upper right arm.
If you see him, deputies ask that you do not confront him as he is considered dangerous and to call 911.
