Firefighters battle Cheney fires

CHENEY, Wash. -

Lightning caused four separate fires in the Cheney area Tuesday morning.

Several engines responded to the fires on the 19000 block of S. Aspen Meadows drive southeast of Cheney. They knocked down those fires and are in the process of mopping up.

Investigators say no homes were affected, though a storage shed and pump house were heavily burned.
