Melissa Luck is the Executive Producer at KXLY4. In addition to managing day-to-day newsroom operations, she also reports daily news and special reports when she can.

Melissa came to KXLY in 2002 as a General Assignment Reporter. She's covered everything from polygamy to the reawakening of Mt. St. Helens to Super Bowl XL in Detroit. She also won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for her continuing coverage of the Joseph Duncan case.

Before coming to KXLY, Melissa was a General Assignment Reporter at KNDU-TV in Tri-Cities. She also worked as an Associate Producer at WISN-TV in Milwaukee. Melissa grew up in Great Falls, Montana and is a proud graduate of Marquette University. Her father is a longtime sports and news reporter, so she made her TV debut just hours after she was born.

Melissa is passionate about journalists' rights. She prides herself on research and writing and won her second Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for writing in 2007.

Melissa is married to Good Morning Northwest anchor Derek Deis. In their time away from the newsroom, they love spending time with their sons Dylan and Daniel and their shelter rescue dogs Chewy and Roxie.
