UN envoy arranges trilateral meeting

U.S. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton has accepted an invitation by UN Special Envoy Lakhdar Brahimi for a trilateral meeting on Syria with Brahimi and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, a senior state department official said.

The meeting is scheduled to take palce at 6 a.m. ET Thursday.

Clinton is in Dublin for an international security conference.

Russia and China have repeatedly blocked UN votes for intervention in Syria's civil war.
