Two explosions have been reported near the Boston Marathon finish line, about three hours after winners finished the race.

Crews were sent to the site of the explosions at about 2:30 p.m. According to CNN reports, at least six people were hurt.   Witnesses said several victims lost limbs, and  the area was being evacuated. 

The Associated Press reported bloody spectators were being carried to a medical tent set up for fatigued runners.

Many of the injured  appeared to be spectators who gathered for the 117th running of the race.
Local reports stated that the blasts happened across the street from the Lenox Hotel. 
The victims were being  taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
