Police say the suspect who robbed a Coeur d'Alene bank Friday evening pedaled away with unknown amount of cash.

Officers say the robbery happened just before the Wells Fargo at 114 E. Appleway was about to close Friday night.

Police say a bank employee told them that a man wearing a mask and a bicycle helmet approached a teller, displayed a gun and demanded cash.

The teller complied with the request. The suspect then left the bank, hopped on a gray three-speed bicycle and rode south on Government Way.

Investigators describe the suspect as a man is his late 20's or early 30's, wearing a black helmet and a bandanna over his face, jean shorts, a button-up long-sleeve shirt, and white shoes with black and red stripes.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the crime, or saw the man pedal away, to call the Coeur d'Alene Police Department at (208)769-2320.
