Diver drowns off Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course

A contract diver from Southern Idaho has drowned off the Couer d’Alene Resort Golf Course in Lake Coeur d’Alene.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the man was found in the lake by witnesses who brought him to the shoreline.

The diver was taken to Kootenai Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

The sheriff’s department identified the diver as Michael McCullough of Rexburg, Idaho.

McCullough was a contractor hired by the Coeur d’Alene Resort to clean up golf balls from the lake bottom in the vicinity of the floating green at the golf course.
