SPOKANE -- A school counselor for the Colville School District has been arrested on a charge of 1st Degree Child Molestation.

Colville resident Craig Figley, 58, was arrested after an investigation was started Thursday into allegations involving an 11-year-old victim.

As a result of that investigation law enforcement officers from both the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office and the Colville Police Department executed a search warrant on Figley’s home located in the 1000 block of North Elm. Figley was subsequently arrested at his home and booked into the Stevens County Jail.

The Colville Police Department confirmed the victim was not a relative and that the incident did not happen on school grounds. Figley is the school psychologist at Colville High School.

Figley is being held on a $250,000 bound at the jail. His arraignment is pending and the investigation into Figley is ongoing.
