Police say woman, son threatened with burning

Posted: 7:18 am PST November 30,2009

Bainbridge Island police say a woman and her 12-year-old son awoke early Sunday to find a man pouring gasoline over them and threatening to light them on fire.

The Kitsap Sun reports that the woman and the boy were able to escape and run from the home to a nearby apartment complex, where residents called police.

Officers say they received only minor injuries.

Police were looking for a former boyfriend of the woman.

Officers identified him as 49-year-old Edward Mark Olsen.
