The Red Cross is helping out two people and their pet dog following a house fire in north Spokane Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to the 1300 block of W. Cleveland around 10:30 a.m. when neighbors saw smoke coming from the eaves of the house.

Crews were able to knock down the fire within an hour.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but a woman living in the home says she thinks it may have been started by an electrical problem.
