Police say a man wearing a "glued on" beard and mustache robbed a North Spokane Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop Thursday night.

The robbery happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday when, according to police, a man walked into the store located at 1925 N. Monroe and told the lone employee working he had a gun and then asked the clerk to walk into the back of the store and open up the safe.

Police say the clerk told the man that she couldn't open the safe so the robber took some cash out of the register and ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as a black man, about six feet tall, with a beard and mustache that appeared to be "glued on". He was wearing light colored pants, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, a blue hat and black gloves.

He was last seen running westbound from the store on Northwest Boulevard.

Police are reviewing surveillance video of the suspect from the store's security cameras. If you have any information on this crime you are asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
