Foot of snow forecast for Cascades Friday

A foot of new snow is expected on the Olympics and Washington Cascades Friday from a storm moving through the Washington.

The National Weather Service says the freezing level will fall to about 1,000 feet by Friday afternoon, making snow showers possible in the Cascade foothills.

Forecasters say the cool, rainy-snowy weather will continue into next week across the state.
