A Washington State University fraternity member fell from a third-story window Tuesday night and landed on top of an SUV, which broke his fall.

Officers were called to the Alpha Kappa Lambda house on California Street shortly before 3 a.m. and found the 20-year-old on top of a SUV. The man was conscious and talking and appeared to have back injuries sustained in the fall when he was taken to Pullman Regional Hospital.

His injuries were non-life threatening and police say that the windshield of the SUV broke the man's fall.

Police say the man was intoxicated.
