Good morning and welcome to KXLY.com!
Trust me, you're not seeing things. You're really at KXLY.com. Honest. We've just given it a bit of a makeover. Go grab a cuppa Joe and come back and check out what your new site has to offer.Wednesday night our last generation of KXLY.com sailed into the sunset and with this brand new day comes a brand spanking new website. Over the years KXLY.com has been under a constant state of development as we sought out ways to stay fresh and current. And over the years we got a lot of feedback - some of it good, a lot of it not so good - and we took it all to heart. We took it to heart, we listened to what you had to say and then we acted. The result is what you see before you, a website that's a pretty radical departure for KXLY.com in both design, focus and content. We've taken KXLY.com and KXLY920.com and brought them together into one site filled with content from both organizations and supplemented by stories and video and interactive features from CNN.com, the Associated Press and a host of other partners. We have a new look video platform, live streaming audio from KXLY 920 that's broadcasting 24/7, slideshows, a new look News @ 5 Chatroom ... a lot of bells and whistles. From Spokane news to North Idaho headlines, Money, Politics, Education, National and International News, the latest fashion trends and headlines from Hollywood, it's all right here at KXLY.com.It may be a subtle thing but one of the first things you may have noticed on our site is that we always have the current weather conditions for both Eastern Washington and North Idaho on the homepage. It's our way of committing to you, whether you live in Airway Heights or Rathdrum, Liberty Lake or the Lake City, we are reaffirming our commitment to our community on both sides of the state line. The site is also clean, well thought out, well laid out and well organized. Everything has a place and everything is easy to find, within a click of the homepage. Again, we got a lot of feedback and here's one of our responses. We hit the Easy Button hard and often when we built this new site. But we're far from done. Some of you will like the new site. Others don't like change perhaps and may not be so enthusiastic. Either way I'd like to hear from you. We have a new commenting tool below, powered by Disqus, where you can Sound Off and let us know what you think about the new site. What's good about it, what's not so good, what do you want to see more or less of?Or if you don't feel like leaving a comment below, fire off an e-mail to me at robk@kxly.com.Again welcome to KXLY.com. To quote Veronica Corningstone: "Thanks for stoppin' by."
