• Some Spokane County residents still without power

    The clean up by power crews continues across the Inland Northwest. As of 5 p.m. Sunday, Avista was reporting 160 power outages, while Inland Power and Light was reporting 200. Both companies said they planned to have most if not all power restored by Sunday night.

  • Spokane burglary suspect arrested

    Spokane Police are investigating an early-morning burglary in progress where the suspect fired rounds inside the home.

    The Grant County Sheriff's Office reports that an inmate escaped from the Grant County jail Sunday morning but was then apprehended in Moses Lake a short time later.

    With more than 1,000 people killed in the Israel-Hamas conflict, the U.N. Security Council held an emergency meeting in New York early Monday to push for "an immediate and unconditional humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza."
