Alyssa comes from Peoria, Illinois where she was a reporter and weekend weather anchor at WEEK-TV/WHOI-TV.

She reported alongside several major networks, updating residents on where to find shelter and how to contact their loved ones.

Alyssa also had the opportunity to report on Chicago’s film industry from behind the scenes of hit TV shows Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.

A life-long Illinois girl, Alyssa grew up in Fox River Grove, a northwest suburb of Chicago and attended Illinois State University.

She graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a minor in theatre performance. During college Alyssa reported, anchored the news and weather for the on-campus television station TV-10 News. She also produced and hosted an award winning entertainment show. Outside of the newsroom, Alyssa competed with Illinois State’s competitive dance team and traveled the country with a leadership team doing community service projects.

In her free time Alyssa loves outdoor activities. She is so excited to explore and find the best places to hike and kayak.
