Last night the Yakima City Council voted down a proposed ban on e-cigarettes in public areas.

But, e-cigarettes aren't faring so well in other U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Chicago and New York City. Councils there have voted to ban the use of e-cigarettes in public places like restaurants and bars.

E-cigarette supporters say they're less dangerous than tobacco products, but opponents say there is little known about 2nd hand vapor.
