Portland, Oregon is losing its status as the only major city in the country to not add fluoride to its water.
The city council voted five-to-zero on Wednesday to approve the change.
Supporters say fluoride helps stop tooth decay.
But opponents say it amounts to forced medication.
They plan to try forcing a public vote through a petition.
There have been several attempts to get voters to approve fluoridating Spokane's water, but they have failed.
Would you like to follow in Portland's footsteps and fluoridate the water?
Or are you dead set against it?
