President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney are both conducting private debate preparations ahead of their second face-off.
Obama is aiming to rebound from a dismal performance in his first face-to-face debate with the challenger, while Romney is trying to keep up the momentum he built after a strong showing.
Tuesday's debate is town-hall style, with the candidates taking questions from voters in the audience at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
Obama's hunkering down at a golf resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, for another full day of debate practice with aides.
Romney's spending much of the day practicing near his Boston-area home.
Will this debate make a difference in how your vote? Does it matter? Or do you feel it could sway undecided voters?
