A Coeur d'Alene school board member wants to tighten up the district's dress code.

Jim Purtee was appointed a few months ago and wants to see public school students wearing uniforms, from kindergarten through 8th grade.

Purtee says he believes uniforms improve a student's performance at school and also help reduce issues like bullying.

Last fall two middle schools were considering uniforms, but many parents weren't happy about the idea.

The school board plans to hold a workshop to discuss the matter sometime this fall.

Do you like the idea of school uniforms?

Is it something you'd like to see happen not only in Coeur d'Alene, but Spokane as well?

Or are you against the idea?
