The rumors of a Target on the South Hill are now solidifying into reality.

The site?  Near the corner of Palouse Highway and Regal Street.

Developer Dave Black owns the land and in an interview with KXLY said he had applied with the city to begin work on the land.

It's work that will produce a Target.

It's not without some controversy.  There are worries about traffic, the impact it would have on the Southside sports complex, Ferris High School and Adams Elementary and fears about the look of the actual building.

So, a petition is circulating on the internet asking that Dave Black hold to certain design guidelines that would make the Target not only pedestrian friendly, but in keeping with the style of the South Hill.

How do you feel about it?  Are you happy to hear the news?  Or are you anti-development?
