The political conversation has quickly changed from President Barack Obama's debate performance to today's surprisingly good jobs report.
The labor department announced that employers added 114,000 jobs in September.
At the same time, the unemployment rate fell to 7.8% - the lowest it's been in the past four years.
That news gives President Obama a potential boost with the election just a month away.
"Today's news certainly is not an excuse to try to talk down the economy to score a few political points. It's a reminder that this country has come too far to turn back now," he said.
