Wednesday's Child: Zerendity

Wednesday's Child: Zerendity

November is National Adoption Month when we celebrate the families made possible by adoption. KXLY 4's hope for every one of our Wednesday's children is that they will find their forever family.

We first introduced you to Zerendity when she was 12. She's now 15 and you may find her in front of a game from time to time. But that's not the first place you should look. Zerendity doesn't like to sit still.

"Swimming, singing, biking, walking dogs, training dogs," she said.

Zerendity is an animal lover and is considering training dogs as a career or studying veterinary medicine. She spent some time on a farm at one of her foster homes and really enjoyed it.

"I can go work on the farm and help the horses and cows," she said.

Zerendity would like to put down roots with a family all of her own. She worries about what her future would look like growing up in foster care.

"I don't want to be in foster care for like, forever," Zerendity explained. "I'd probably have to move from house to house to house until I find the one that actually does love me, care for me and wants to adopt me."

What that family looks like is something Zerendity tries not to think too much about. She says she wants to be surprised. But her case workers have given it a lot of thought.

They'd love to hear from a mom and dad, a single mom or two moms who are outdoorsy, enjoy camping and like making s'mores. They say you'll be in for an adventure with Zerendity and you'll get a new addition to make your family even better.
