Erik Loney joined the KXLY 4 News Team as a general assignment reporter in February 2007.

A graduate of Seattle University, Erik started his career as a reporter with KEPR in the Tri-Cities. After two years, he moved on to the NBC affiliate in Green Bay, Wisconsin. After 20 months in Green Bay, Erik and his wife Amanda decided to move west to be closer to family, and he spent the next seven years working at the CBS affiliate in Spokane before joining KXLY 4 in February 2007.

During his career he's covered a wide variety of stories including the Green Bay Packers while he was in Green Bay, the sex abuse scandal at the Spokane Catholic Diocese and the flight and eventual return of fugitive Fred Russell.

When he's not on the street covering local news, Erik and his wife Amanda runs after their two young sons Cooper and Lukas and golden retriever Hunter.
