Chief Meteorologist Kris Crocker brings you the KXLY 4 HD Forecast every weeknight on KXLY4 News at 5, 6 and 11. You can also hear Kris' forecasts in the afternoons on KXLY 920 and 700 ESPN The Ticket.
Kris' dedication to bringing you the most accurate weather forecasts in the Inland Northwest has been recognized with two Emmy nominations, and Kris proudly displays the coveted "Seal of Approval" from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. Kris completed the Broadcast Meteorology program at Mississippi State University and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in journalism and communications at Oklahoma State University.
It was in her hometown of Idaho Falls, Idaho where Kris started her weather career in 1993. She's also worked at television stations in Lansing and Flint, Michigan.
Kris and her husband, Jerry, have three daughters: Sophie (6), Danielle (3) and Gabrielle (also 3!). They also share their home with two adopted cats from Pet Savers. Kris loves taking advantage of the many outdoor activities in the Inland Northwest, but she especially likes to snowboard, run, and spend time in Manito Park with her family.
In the community, Kris has played violin with the Spokane Falls Community Orchestra, has served on the Spokane City Arts Commission, and serves as spokeswoman for the annual KXLY4 Coats 4 Kids drive.
