- continued moderate to locally heavy rainfall will lead to ponding of water on area roadways with minor flooding possible through this evening. From 4 PM yesterday through 8 am this morning...between an inch to an inch and a half of rain had fallen in Metaline Falls...Sandpoint...and Priest Lake. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Additional rainfall amounts of a half to three quarters of an inch are possible in the warned area. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
